    I am an experienced counsellor and psychologist and have a broad range of clinical experiences, working with couples and relationship issues, mental health issues, addictions, disability issues and the carer role, and men’s issues. I seek to develop a collaborative relationship with each person and couple to support them to make effective change in their lives.

    Experience (Areas of Expertise)

    My overarching orientation is experiential and emotion focused but I combine this with a range of other approaches when required, including: CBT, solution-focused, motivational interviewing, systemic, person-centered, interpersonal process and mindfulness.

    My areas of expertise include: relationships and couples counselling, and parenting; anxiety and depression; alcohol, drug and addiction issues; sexual, physical and emotional abuse; insecure adult attachment; disability issues and carer responsibilities. I also have experience working with members of the LGBT community, particularly same-sex couples counselling.

    Qualifications

    Bachelor of Arts majoring in Psychology (University of Melbourne); Grad Dip Psychology (Melbourne University); Masters of Counselling Psychology (Swinburne University of Technology)

    I have completed training in Process Experiential Emotion Focused Therapy, Mindfulness and Meditation, and Couples and Relationships counselling.
