PERSONAL DETAILS AND INTERESTS
I am currently a registered psychologist and will soon be commencing my clinical endorsement. I provide a warm environment for clients to express their thoughts, feelings, and struggles in a safe way. Previously my clients have valued the collaborative approach I take when we work towards their therapeutic goals.
I often use a combination of therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness, and relaxation strategies. Throughout the treatment process, I will individualise therapy plans so that each client feels connected and suited to their treatment and can benefit the most from therapy.
I like to utilise a skills-based approach to help clients become equipped with the tools they need to be successful in navigating current and future personal challenges. This helps to ensure the client can be the leader of their therapeutic journey.
Whether you are looking for new skills, supportive counselling, or simply some guidance with a struggle, I am here to listen.
EXPERIENCE (AREAS OF EXPERTISE)
In adults I have experience working with a range of client presentations including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, ongoing life stressors, relationship difficulties, addiction and substance use difficulties, and cognitive disabilities.
In children I have experience working with anxiety (specific phobia, social anxiety, generalised anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder), depression, behavioural difficulties and poor emotional regulation.
I also enjoy running group therapy programs and have experience providing group support to both children and parents of children with anxiety. I have facilitated various treatment groups in hospital settings and developed anxiety information programs for youth in schools.
I also have experience conducting comprehensive cognitive assessments in both children and adults.
