PERSONAL DETAILS AND INTERESTS
(03) 9820 5577
I aim to create a space in which each individual is free to explore, without judgement, all their thoughts, feelings, values, choices, and experiences. My approach to therapy is very humanistic, person centred, and grounded in mindfulness. I am curious, passionate, genuine, and believe in strong collaboration when setting out and attaining goals in therapy. I work to tailor an approach that is holistic, evidence based, and unique to the needs of every client.
I believe that life is a process and that we all have the capacity to grow. We all make mistakes, struggle at times, go through difficult life moments, experience stress, feel anxious, depressed, or just feel stuck. Through open and honest dialogue we can gain more insight and perspective about ourselves, identify potential obstacles, and begin moving in a more positive direction.
EXPERIENCE (AREAS OF EXPERTISE)
My areas of expertise are depression, anxiety, stress, addiction, grief, phobias, and other difficult life circumstances. I work with adults and adolescents within an interpersonal and object relations framework, and use cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and other evidence based therapies where appropriate. I have practiced therapy successfully across a number of settings, including, GP clinic, hospital, drug and alcohol centre, youth centre, and others.
