Mathew GaynorPsychologist

Prior to qualifying as a psychologist, I have gained extensive experience in differing areas of the health industry, including as a paramedic, and in physical education. I use my skills and experience to provide a holistic approach in psychological therapy, which is individually tailored to each client.

I have experience working with children, adolescents, couples, families and adults on a diverse range of problems, including depression, chronic pain, anxiety, and mood disorders. I use a range of evidence based therapies to assist clients with their problems, including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), schema therapy, dialectical behavioural therapy (DBT), and interpersonal therapy.

Areas of interest include health psychology and the effects of diet, exercise and sleep on mental health, chronic pain management, post traumatic disorder (PTSD), depression and personality disorders.
