The Centre for Emotion Focused Practices provides a safe and respectful environment for therapy and treatment. The psychologists and counsellors operating from the Centre are skilled professionals who support people’s emotional development and healing, helping clients in discovering better ways to live their lives. They assist with a wide range of particularly challenging issues, from anxiety and depression to those with marriage problems or couples in need of relationship help. People coming to the Centre have found effective relief and change. Clients say that they find the rooms calming and refreshing, very different from the clinical and hospital-like feel that some practices have.
The Centre for Emotion Focused Practice (CEFP) specialises in improving people’s wellbeing through psychology, counselling, and other people-centred practices. At the Centre, psychologists, counsellors, and practitioners practice with the Rogerian principles of integrity, respect, authenticity and genuineness.
The Centre is based in South Yarra, Melbourne where psychologists and counsellors are available to support you in an environment that is custom designed to provide a welcoming and personal experience. Every psychologist at Emotion-Focused Melbourne is determined to use a therapeutic approach that is best suited to help people address their concerns.
Process-Experiential Emotion Focused Therapy (PEEFT) or more commonly referred to as Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT) integrates experiential perspectives, cognitive science, existential thought and contemporary emotion theory. It develops emotional intelligence, integrates experience and offers restructuring and transformation. It is based on the latest developments and its effectiveness has been proven by neuroscience research as one of the most effective modalities to support people’s development. The psychologists and counsellors practising at Emotion-Focused are some of the best in Melbourne. The Centre for Emotion Focused Practice provides a confidential and supportive setting so that the clients can safely talk about issues or problems they are facing.
